Do you or your hubby get scared easily? Do you just absolutely hate gore and jump scares, but love Halloween? Boy do I have just the list of movies for you!

All available on Xfinity Stream!

8. Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire

When thinking of classic Disney Halloween movies, Mom’s got a Date with a Vampire may not immediately jump to your mind, but it should! The movie follows the Hansen children’s night adventure to save their mom from a vampire they accidentally set her up with. This is a perfect movie to cozy up with your boo during and be grateful they aren’t trying to bite YOUR neck. However, definitely not scary enough to grab their hand in terror.

7. The Haunted Mansion

This movie is perfect because not only is it a halloween movie, but it stars Eddie Murphy. The Haunted Mansion is perfect for people who love ghosts, true love and creepy butlers. The best part of the movie though is Megan’s attitude. Although it contains some creepy crawlies, it also has some cute scenes about love that’ll make you wanna give your bae a lil’ smooch.

6. Twitches

Nothing says family love like a halloween movie! Starring Tia and Tamera Mowry, this film manages to be scary and heart warming at the same time. Admit it, all their sister bonding brings a tear to your eye. Additionally, the ominous big burning fire is creepy as HELL and definitely freaked me out as a child. It may very well lead to using your significant other’s hand to block out the scary flames.

5. The Nightmare Before Christmas

This one gave me the heebie jeebies as a child for sure. Even though Jack Skellington’s discovery and love for Christmas is adorable and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, Oogie Boogie always makes my blood run cold. This interesting take on Christmas combines the two best holidays and results in a pretty decent Disney movie. This movie may also kick start the conversation between you and your love bug about what you want for Christmas.

4. Phantom of the Megaplex

In my opinion this movie is creepy because of how close it is to reality. I think I would freak if I worked in a big movie theater with a lot of creepy spaces, like the basement, and weird things started happening. I would quit immediately and never return. This movie is definitely not as scary as they could’ve made it, but I guess that’s the reality of watching Halloween movies from Disney. But, Pete easily scared parents by leaving his younger siblings alone in the movie when he was supposed to be watching them. This is an easy movie to find a spot to gasp and grab your sweetheart’s bicep.

3. Halloweentown

Alright, I feel like not everyone is gonna agree with me that this movie is scary, but HELLO Kalabar is actually so freaky looking (the mayor version of him is a cutie, but that hideous alter ego of his is hard to hop on board with). Also, you see so many of the characters affected by the bad guys magic, when traditionally the heroes are miraculously unharmed for a majority of the movie. Halloweentown also has a great hero compilation, of them getting the ingredients to stop the bad guy, that I love. 100% the scene in the movie theater where the villain freezes mom and grandma is the PERFECT moment to hide your eyes in the warm comfort of your hubby’s shoulder.

2. Hocus Pocus

This movie is freaky to me; because, doing something stupid like lighting a magic candle purely as a joke, and accidentally bringing back to life children-eating witches sounds exactly like the kind of mistake I would make. Also, the zombie with his mouth sewn shut always made me wanna turn the movie off when I was little, that dude was FREAKY. This movie has a nice balance between romantic scenes between Max and Allison, scares from the Sanderson sisters, and company that you can keep your beau’s arms wrapped tightly around you from start to finish.

1. Don’t Look Under the Bed

Now, I really have no clue WHO thought this movie up, but it without a doubt the scariest movie ever. Ok, maybe not ever, but when I first saw this as a five year old, I had to sleep with my lights on for quite awhile. It has a very creative and original plot and gives an interesting look at imaginary friends. That being said, it also has the absolute creepiest scenes of the boogeyman that really make me question if this is even appropriate for children. Absolutely scary enough that you should just go ahead crawl directly into your lover’s lap before even hitting play (I don’t care if you don’t agree, this movie is HORRIFYING).
