Ideal Audience

Our blog is geared to, but not exclusively for, college students who want something to pass the time.  Though we are not exclusively writing for college students, our tone is going to be more casual/relatable. It can be assumed, since streaming platforms are so popular, that people know basic navigation and references to the various platforms. Though, when it comes to, say, picking one streaming platform over the other, we will go more into detail about the pros and cons of each option. The goal of a person using our blog is most likely one (or many) of the following: which platform to subscribe to, what to watch, an in-depth look at each platform (entertainment analysis).

To keep readers engaged, it is important to incentivize. For example, we plan to include a subscription option where interested readers can sign up for email notifications to receive blog updates. We plan to answer questions in the comments, engage our audience and just be responsive in general to build not only a relationship with our readers, but also a sense of trust. We want to be a reliable, all access source for readers’ streaming platform news and entertainment. To do so, we plan to include embedded multimedia such as trailers, announcements, and other important posts and/or videos. We also will include hyperlinks for more information, whether on platforms, shows, or topics we are discussing.
